Dr. Klara Carson, ND, graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, in Bridgeport Connecticut. She is Board Certified in Naturopathic Medicine and holds a license to practice medicine as a Naturopathic Physician in the State of Vermont. Dr. Carson grew up in Clarence, New York and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental and Forest Biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. It was there she developed an interest in ethnobotany and botanical medicine, and worked in pharmacy until she decided to pursue a naturopathic medical career.

After graduation, Dr. Carson held a residency under Dr. Mary Claire Wise, MD who is Board Certified in Holistic Medicine. During this residency, Dr. Carson was able to hone her clinical skills under an experienced practitioner while putting to use the cutting-edge knowledge and most current research in functional and naturopathic medicine from her specialized educational experience.

Dr. Carson feels the key to complete health involves listening to the body’s symptoms and finding the true underlying cause that can be corrected to bring the body back into balance. She then uses a variety of tools to achieve that balance, including nutrition and dietary supplementation, herbal remedies, homeopathy, counseling, and lifestyle changes. Many of the most common chronic ailments, including fatigue, insomnia, digestive problems, chronic pain, and autoimmune conditions can be greatly improved with naturopathic medicine, and Dr. Carson focuses on each individual to find the specific protocol that is best for you.

Dr. Carson is very excited to be back in the Western New York area. She enjoys making health a way of life, and is passionate about helping others find their own path to health and complete wellness. She has a strong love of nature and music, and enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, and other outdoor pursuits with her husband, Ben.
