Two Myths About Chiropractic Care

Myths persist about chiropractic care. It’s time to debunk these myths. Here are two myths about chiropractic care.

Chiropractors crack your bones

This is one of the most enduring myths about chiropractic care is that it involves the cracking of the bones in your body. This is so untrue! The cracking sounds that patients often hear occur sometimes during adjustments. It’s a noise caused by the opening up of the space between the joints and the gas that escapes from it.

Patients report much freer movements in the body and elimination of pain from chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractors do not crack your back or your bones, and chiropractic adjustment is incredibly precise and very safe.

Adjustments hurt

Not only are adjustments not painful, they actually relieve pain. Occasionally, a chiropractic adjustment can be uncomfortable but it’s never painful. After a few visits, as your body becomes used to chiropractic care, patients feel relief and, because of this, make chiropractic care a part of their healthy lifestyle.
